Chapman holds degrees in Welding and Motion Picture Production. He gained a couple of hundred hours of college level studies from nine campuses in areas such as Biology, Undergraduate Law, Art, Civil Rights History, World Religions and Social Economy.
He served several years on a board of directors of an outdoor advertising ministry with Dr. Lee Roberson, Dr. Jack Hyles and Dr. Harold B. Sightler that challenged the theological views of Pope John Paul II, hitting news headlines on five continents. He helped FBI Special Agent Byron Sage (Chief Negotiator) pick through the theology of David Koresh during the Branch Davidian Situation in 1993. (The violent last-day outcome by the FBI would turn him against government and toward a mix of Leo Tolstoy's and Murray Rothbard's world view: benevolent anarcho capitalism.)
Chapman trained two years in Warren Buffett's investment ideas under David Clark, who was trained by Warren from childhood. Gene is responsible for about $2.979 billion of J. B. Hunt's January 2, 2016 share price, as he was the personal advisor to current Chairman, Kirk Thompson, between 1997 thru 2001. He was in the HQ Building making the Buffett case to the top executives when Exxon announced their merger with Mobil, a logical Buffett move. Warren and Gene remain in positive cordial contact.
Chapman helped legendary Producer Aaron Russo make and promote his last motion picture, "America: Freedom to Fascism."
An avid student of Gandhian Philosophy and Gandhian non-violent tactics, Chapman is most closely associated with Arun Gandhi and Ravindra Kumar.
Now entering his 50's, Gene K. Chapman is an Economic Historian and free lance writer for the Oil and Gas Industry, living and working in the oil fields of West Texas.
